This page explains exactly what we collect when you take the survey, and what we do with it. It is short because we collect very little.
We never collect your child's name. Not on the survey, not in the report, not anywhere.
If you make a certificate at the end, the name you type is used to draw the image inside your own browser and is never transmitted to us. It is not stored, not logged, and not shared with anyone. We have no way of seeing it — the picture is made on your device and stays there unless you choose to share it.
To build an age-based picture of how Indian children understand money, and to send you a report about your own child. Responses are analysed together, as a group. Nothing we publish will ever identify an individual child or family. We may quote a child's answer — a single line, with the age only, never a name, a city, a school, or anything else that could point to who said it. Some of these lines appear on our public wall at moneysmartkids.in/wall, chosen by hand. If you would rather your child's answers were never quoted, tell us and we will leave them out.
This survey is filled in by a parent or guardian, for their own child, and taking part is your consent for us to process those answers. We do not profile children, target advertising at them, or track their behaviour. If at any point you would like your responses removed, write to us and we will delete them.
We do not sell, share, or rent responses. The only other parties involved are the services that run the site — Cloudflare for hosting and storage, and Resend for sending email — and they handle it only to provide that service. If this work is ever published or reviewed with an academic partner, it will be as combined figures with no way to identify any individual response.
To stop the survey being misused to send large numbers of emails, we keep a short-lived, scrambled record of how often a connection and an email address are used. It cannot be turned back into your IP address or email, it is not linked to your answers, and it is deleted within two days.
We also count how many people reach each page of the survey — opened it, recorded the offer, reached the end — so we can see where people give up. That count records the page, the age group and which link was used. It contains nothing that identifies you or your child.
Responses are kept so that a child's answers can be compared year to year, which is the point of the study. Your email is kept until you ask us to remove it, or to stop writing to you.
